To join VGM Fleet and operate our data-collection electric vehicles on the Uber platform, candidates must satisfy both standard Uber driver criteria and VGM Fleet partner standards.
25 years or older
Valid, unexpired U.S. driver's license held continuously for at least 3 years.
A compatible iOS or Android smartphone capable of running the latest version of the Uber Driver app.
Reliable transportation to fleet hub for on-time shift start.
All candidates must clear a standard background check and driving record review:
Clear criminal background screening in accordance with state, federal, and Uber platform guidelines.
Because our vehicles are equipped with specialized sensors and telemetry systems:
Basic familiarity with EV charging infrastructure (using charging apps, managing range, plug-in procedures).
Agreement to keep on-board sensors, lenses, cameras, and hardware clean and unobstructed during shifts.
Commitment to returning the vehicle at designated charging levels and fleet hubs when completing shifts.
Active Uber Driver account in good standing, OR eligibility to immediately onboard with Uber.
Drivers will be required to create a fleet account with Uber to proceed.
